In 2002, Dirk Pütz founded the company GA-TEC. Everything started in a garage, which was used as office space as well as a warehouse. This kind of premises was promptly too small. The small garage has become with time 17,000 m² of huge halls as well as unbuilt land, which first was rented and was bought afterward.
In 2007, due to the increase of the company, GA-TEC Gabelstaplertechnik GmbH was founded.
2009 we established a partnership with COREMO SERVICII SRL in Romania. With this deep partnership, we could expand our sales area in Europe.
For us, not only success in business is important, but we are family-oriented and open to new models of employment. In 2011, we had set up a part-time apprenticeship for a young mother as well as a "toddler group" for emergencies in daycare. This led to the award "Dortmunder Personalmanagement Prädikat" for "achieving a work-life balance" in 2013 as well as the award "Family-friendly company in Dortmund 2015".
Besides our business activities, giving social commitment is important for us. We support the Dortmunder Tafel with donation in kind as well as other different organisations e.g. Hammer Eisbären and "Alte Herren" from SC Berchum/Garenfeld.
In 2012 we founded a trade mission in Egypt and in the following year a subsidiary in Nigeria.
The fitness and physical balance of our employees are very important to us. Therefore we cooperate with a gym located next to our premises and pay 50% of the monthly charges for our employees. In the same year, we successfully attended the 7th AOK-Company run with 8 of our employees in Dortmund.
